Organization

See which settings apply to your whole Klarvu account, the difference between brand and agency accounts, and what to know before deleting.

Updated

Your organization is the main account in Klarvu. It contains your brands, team members, dashboards, and integrations.

Some settings apply across the entire organization, while others only affect the brand you're currently working with. Understanding the difference is particularly useful when you manage multiple brands or collaborate with colleagues.

Find your organization settings

Go to "Settings" → "Configure" → "Organization".

The page is called "Organization" and displays your organization's name.

Here you can review its details, account type, and, if you're an owner, the option to delete the organization.

Which settings apply where?

SettingApplies to
"Organization"The entire organization, including its name and account type.
"Team"Team members and their permissions across the organization.
"Brand Entities"The brand you currently have selected.
"Prompt Organization"The selected brand's topics, personas, stages, and tags.

For example, changing an alternative brand name under "Brand Entities" only affects the selected brand.

For more details, see the Team and roles and Brands and entities guides.

Your organization details

Under "Details", you'll find two fields:

FieldWhat it means
"Name"Your organization's name in Klarvu.
"Slug"A short identifier for the organization.

Both fields are read-only on this page, so you can't edit the name or slug yourself.

If you'd like to change your organization's name, email hello@klarvu.com.

Brand account or agency account?

Under "Account type", you can see which type of account your organization uses.

Klarvu supports two account types:

Account typeWho it's for
"Brand account"Companies using Klarvu to track their own brands.
"Agency account"Agencies managing multiple client brands within one organization.

How agency accounts work

An "Agency account" lets you manage several clients from a single organization.

In the app, brands are called "clients" when you're using an agency account.

You can:

  • Switch between clients in the top bar.
  • Work with separate prompts and dashboards for each client.
  • Limit analysts and viewers to selected clients under "Team".

This is useful if you want to give a client access to Klarvu while making sure they can only see their own brand.

For more on client access, see "Team and roles".

Change your account type

If you need to switch your organization from a brand account to an agency account, or vice versa, the account type can be changed under "Account type".

Only owners can change the account type.

Other members can see the current account type but cannot change it.

Delete your organization

At the bottom of "Organization", owners will find a section called "Danger zone".

This is where you can permanently delete the entire organization.

If you're an owner and want to delete the organization:

  1. Open "Settings" → "Configure" → "Organization".
  2. Find the "Danger zone" section and click "Delete this organization".
  3. Type your organization's name into "Confirm name".
  4. Click "Delete organization".

After deletion, you'll be redirected to the login page.

Only users with the "Owner" role can see and use this feature.

Frequently asked questions

Can I rename my organization?

Not directly in the app.

The "Name" and "Slug" fields can't be edited on the "Organization" page. If you'd like to change the name, contact hello@klarvu.com.

When should I choose an "Agency account"?

Choose an agency account if you manage multiple client brands and need to keep their prompts, dashboards, and access separate.

For example, you can give a client access to only their own brand.

What happens to my data if I delete the organization?

All data belonging to the organization is permanently deleted.

This includes brands, prompts, AI answers, dashboards, team members, and integrations. The deletion cannot be undone.
