Privacy policy

The short version: we collect what we need to run the product, we don't sell it, and you can get it deleted.

What we collect

Email sign-ups (for example when you unlock the full visibility report): your email address and, if you give it, your website. We use them to send you the report and occasional Klarvu updates, store them with our database provider Supabase in the EU (Ireland), and delete them on request.

Demo requests: your name, work email, company size, whether you work at an agency, and, if you give it, your domain (so we can prepare your report). We use them only to arrange the demo, store them with Supabase in the EU (Ireland), and delete them on request.

The free AI visibility check: the domain you submit, the generated report, and a salted hash of your IP address (used only to prevent abuse; we cannot recover the IP from it). Results are stored with Supabase in the EU and reused for up to 24 hours if the same domain is checked again. The report page loads site icons from Google's public favicon service in your browser.

Account information you give us directly: your name, work email, company, and the domain and competitor names you ask us to track.

Product usage data: which features you use and basic device information, used to improve the product. We do not sell this data or share it with advertisers.

Publicly available content: the AI platform responses, web pages, and robots.txt files we analyze to build your reports are collected from public sources.

How we use it

To deliver your reports and dashboards, send the digests and alerts you've enabled, bill your subscription, and respond when you contact us.

We send marketing email only if you've opted in, and every message includes a working unsubscribe link.

Who we share it with

Service providers who help us run Klarvu (hosting, payments, email delivery) under contracts that limit their use of your data to providing those services.

Nobody else, unless required by law or with your explicit consent.

Cookies and analytics

We count page views on klarvu.com with Vercel Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and doesn't identify you.

If you accept in the cookie banner, we also use Google Analytics 4 (provided by Google Ireland Limited) to understand how visitors find and use the site. It sets first-party cookies (_ga and _ga_<ID>) that last up to two years. Advertising features are turned off and the data isn't used for ads.

Until you accept, Google Analytics runs in Consent Mode without cookies and receives only anonymous, cookieless signals. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page; declining removes the Google Analytics cookies.

Retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. If you close your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where the law requires longer retention for billing records.

You can request a copy or deletion of your data at any time by emailing contact@klarvu.com.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including the EU/EEA under GDPR and California under CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Email contact@klarvu.com to exercise them.
